James Taylor And Carole King Reunite

James Taylor and Carole King will be helping L.A’s legendary Troubadour Club celebrate its 50th anniversary later this month.

Over the past five decades, the venue has played host to a glittering string of debut L.A performances from the likes of Elton John, Tom Waits, Joni Mitchell, Neil Young, Guns ‘n’ Roses and, of course, King and Taylor.

The pair were Troubadour regulars during the venue’s early ‘70s heyday. “Carole and I bump into each other all the time,” explained the finger-picking songsmith. “Each time we meet it’s always the same: ‘We really ought to do something on stage again. Well, it seems like we finally will: this Troubadour 50th Anniversary event is the perfect excuse and I can’t wait”. Long time Taylor/King cohorts, Danny Kortchmar, Russel Kunkel and Lee Sklar, will reunite to provide instrumental support for the one time couple.

The dates:

November 28, 29 and 30

The band will play two sets per night (7pm and 10pm).

Tickets go on sale November 20 and will cost a whopping $225. All proceeds will be going to a selection of charities, including MusiCares, Natural Resources Defense Council, Alliance for the Wild Rockies and the Los Angeles Regional Foodbank.
