My Bloody Valentine will release the long awaited follow-up to their 1991 psyche-rock classic, Loveless as a digital download.
The currently untitled new album is set to be an amalgam of new material and unreleased tracks recorded during the band's '90s heyday. MBV's manager, Vinita Joshi, spoke of the release saying, “At the moment, all I can say is that Kevin [Shields] is getting the band back together and they will go into the studio next month to work on the new record.” Joshi added that, following the download release, the the album is also likely to appear on vinyl.
Meanwhile, the band's first UK tour in 16 years begins on June 20, 2008 at London's Roundhouse. All dates are sold out.
