As news streams in that the inimitable Keith Richards is to re-release his 1979 cover of Chuck Berry's Christmas cut Run Rudolph Run, we thought it was the perfect time to list a few other forgotten yuletide classics.
1. Carla Thomas - All I Want For Christmas Is You
Her 1966 classic. The B-side is the equally wondrous Winter Snow.
2. The White Stripes - Candy Cane Children
Only 1000 copies were released at the end of 2002.
3. Prince - Another Lonely Christmas
The Purple One's flipside to I Would Die 4 U.
4. Ramones - Merry Christmas (I Don't Want To Fight Tonight)
I Wanna Live's festive B-side.
And finally...The Greedies - A Merry Jingle
Members of Thin Lizzy and the Sex Pistols joined forces to release this 45 in 1979. View their Top Of The Pops appearance in all its glory by clicking below.

I'd like to see re-issued:
Can's (yes, that CAN!) 1976 single:
"Silent Night" b/w "Cascade Waltz"
and/or
The Dumbells' (Roxy Music!) 1980 single
"Giddy Up" b/w "A Christmas Dream"
