Led Zep Review On MOJO

THERE WAS AN AUDIBLE GASP in London’s tiny Metro Club on Monday evening as it became clear that the headline act – Sons Of Albion, starring one Logan Plant on vocals – had attracted two stellar onlookers. Not only had Jimmy Page and Robert Plant materialised in the humble Oxford Street venue, but there they were, together, having a chat, like they liked each other! And Jimmy’s finger looked OK, too.

MOJO’s anticipation for Monday’s O2 show, already whetted to an insane sharpness, had pushed the sharp-ometer well in the red.

Return here on Tuesday for the review.

But first, just one question. What’s the first song they’ll play? Our money’s on Rock’N’Roll: “It’s been a long lonely, lonely, lonely, lonely time...”

  • A friend of mine went to the dress rehearsal last night, this is what she said.. just what I didn't want to receive in my inbox today!..

"My good friend is on the gig, and I only found out yesterday morning that I coukld go to the dress regearsal, which actually, was an hour sound check

They are amazing, seriously, they are the tightest band I have EVER heard

Jason Bonham is truly a chip off the old block

Then my friend said I have tickets for tomorrow though I have had to pay for those but at face value so 135 quid

    His voice....

    Seriously

And he didn't even let proper go last night, he was saving it, but it was astounding

Jimmy page, jesus, the sound was drop dead heart stopping, life changing......

I got to bed at 4.30 this morning, and I am going again tonight, and staying with my friend in the hote, again, cos they aren't on till 9, and I will miss my last train and I will be so tired for work tomorrow, but I don't care

I am high from that gig

    I feel truly amazing"

You can imagine how I'm feeling - sick as a parrot!
