Morrissey is set to release new single, That’s How People Grow Up on January 28, 2008. A 15-track Greatest Hits collection will follow a week later, drawing on material from his two decades as a solo artist.
The ex-Smiths frontman re-teamed with You Are The Quarry-producer Jerry Finn to record the new tune (one of two set to appear on the Hits package). That's How...will act as a teaser for Morrissey's new album - currently set for release next Autumn.
That’s How People Grow Up (CD/7"Vinyl) will be backed with live versions of The Last Of The Famous International Playboys, The Boy With The Thorn In His Side and Why Don’t You Find Out For Yourself. All the flipsides were recorded on Morrissey's US tour earlier this year.
A live version of That’s How People Grow Up will be available as a digital download exclusive.
In the lead up to these releases, Morrissey will embark on a short tour, which includes a six-night residency at London's Roundhouse. He'll play:
London Roundhouse (January 21, 22, 23, 25, 26, 27)
Doncaster Dome (30)
Sunderland Empire (February 1)
Edinburgh Playhouse (2)
All nights are sold out.
