Sharon Jones And The Dap Kings are once again plotting an extensive trek across the US.

The sharp-suited new kings (and queen) of soul will launch their 2008 jaunt through the southern states at the Culture Room in Florida's Fort Lauderdale on January 3.

It's been quite a year for The Dap Kings. Having played a key role in propelling Amy Winehouse to stateside success - as well as providing Back To Black with its sonic grooves - the band's diminutive lead vocalist has been lending her raw talents to aid some of rock's most revered stars - Lou Reed, Rufus Wainwright and David Byrne to name but a few.
