Leonard Cohen has announced that he will tour through the US, Canada and Europe this summer. It will be his first major jaunt since 1993.
The announcement was made via a posting on his official web forum. Specific dates and venues are yet to be confirmed, but full details are expected next month.
Cohen will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in March. His new album is due for release later this year.

RE: I last saw Leonard in 1972 as well, at Birmingham Odeon. It was the only concert that has ever brought me to tears. Leonard has been the soundtrack of my life for the past 36 years and can't wait to see him live again. I have tickets for Edinburgh Castle, July 16th - roll on! Love and peace Paul

Peace from Woodstock,ny!
I carry you book of poems with me everywhere..I was convinced I was who you wrote Suzanne for :) ...Sunk into depression with you and your poetry helped me..your music and voice was my friend...you were playing as I gave birth and your music was playing as my son was leaving this world on another journey. Your music helped me through my life..through a bout with cancer and I say to you
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
I must see you when you are in USA in concert.... Safe Journeys Leonard...
Thank you

My U3A poetry and music study groups have used Alexandra Leaving for study. Amazingly different interpretations of the words... death of a respected spiritual guide, loss of a lover (not bitter enough in my opinion) and all the while one or two verses too deep to fathom. Verdict - a beautiful poem and music that fitted the words perfectly. Much to my suprise one or two members asked 'who is he? what has he done?' They are now confirmed listeners to him and appreciate his work

Posted on 9 Million reasons why we didnt sign Bryant! Just antoher player who thinks he is a superstar, but the facts dont back it up. You dont pay a WR who has only posted more than 4 TDs twice in his 7 year career. Only twice did he break the 1000 yard mark! IN 7 YEARS? So at his very best he averaged about 63 yards per game and about a touchdown every 3 games. Not what Id call someone to build your team around.

so. You have the right to worship aywany you wish. And I have to right to ask you to realize that the religion you worship may not be the right one. If you dont wish to change, tell me and I wont bring it up again unless you are dear to me and I really would like to see you in heaven after we die. The problem is that too many religions promise that you will get to heaven if you do things their way but have nothing to back that up. Mine at least lays down ways to do it. Ignoring the sins of others if they will ignore your sins isnt a way that ANY religion promises, to my knowledge.
