Eric Clapton and The Police will headline this summer's Hard Rock Calling weekend in London. Sheryl Crow and John Mayer will support Clappers on June 28, while The Police will be joined by KT Tunstall and Starsailor the following day. Carlene Carter, Johnny Cash's stepdaughter, will release her new album, Stronger, on April 21. It will be her first new studio collection to appear since 1995.

Phosphorescent have premiered their new video for At Death, At Proclamation. The promo was shot during last year's Akron/Family-supporting European tour. Despite fears that the Hollywood writers strike would disrupt next month's Grammy Awards, the Writers Guild of America has now agreed to let its members contribute to the ceremony. The ongoing action has already forced a cancellation of this year's Golden Globes and the current deal is only temporary arrangement. All eyes are now on the Oscars - due to take place on February 20.

Californian rockers Redd Kross, have joined the line up for this year's All Tomorrow's Parties festival. They'll appear on a bill that already includes the likes of The Hold Steady, Pissed Jeans and Ween. ATP takes place across two weekends in May (9-11 and 16-18).
