Later...With Jools Holland will celebrate its 200th show with a performance from Robyn Hitchcock on Friday, February 1. The psych-folk legend will play a version of Sounds Great When Your Dead from his 1984 album I Often Dream Of Trains. The show is also set to feature Radiohead, Dionne Warwick Mary J Blige, Cat Power, and Feist. You'll be able to see the celebrations when they are broadcast on BBC2 at 11:35pm. Glastonbury 2008 has its first headliner. Neil Diamond will play the Pyramid Stage on the final night of the festival. This year's event takes place between June 27 and 29, near Pilton in Somerset. Ticket registration begins tomorrow (Feb 1).

Sonic Youth's Thurston Moore has released a new live mini-album. Live From Soho was recorded at New York's Apple Store and is now available to download exclusively from iTunes.

2008 marks original Brit-rocker Joe Brown's 50th year making music. He's just kicked off his anniversary tour and has been telling The Telegraph all about his five decades on stage. You can read the interview HERE. And HERE he is closing the Concert For George in 2002.

The PRS Foundation has announced the short list of projects nominated for their New Music Award 2008. The contenders are:

Robert Jarvis - Echolocation
Eliza Carthy, David Thomas & Adam Bushell - Carousel Organ
Django Bates - Pedal Tones
Shlomo and Anna Meredith - Concerto For Beathboxer And Orchestra
John Matthias, Nick Ryan & Jane Grant - The Fragemented Orchestra
Netsayi Chigwendere - Adjustments

The winner will be announced at a ceremony in London on April 9 and will receive £50,000 funding for their proposal.
