JOE BROWN, UK GUITAR pioneer and home-grown rock’n’roll legend, celebrates his 50th anniversary in the business this year. And he’s still touring, still working and still releasing new material half a century since he first strode the boards alongside such giants as Gene Vincent (pictured with a youthful Joe), Eddie Cochran and Johnny Cash.
To celebrate, there’s a 25-track compilation album, The Very Best Of Joe Brown, out now. It includes I’ll See You In My Dreams, the show-closer Joe performed at the George Harrison Tribute Concert (the two were close). A 50th anniversary tour, covering the length of the country, continues apace (see below).
To be in with the chance of winning one of ten SIGNED copies of the album, email Editor@mojo4music.com with your answer to following question. What sort of world did Joe sing about in his early hit...?
a) Crazy
b) Smelly
c) Naughty
