Of course, Mr Cohen wasn't the only artist to be inducted into that big glass hutch in Cleveland. Madonna, The Dave Clark Five, Iggy & The Stooges and John Mellencamp were also given lifetime membership at the ceremony in New York, with Detroit's finest exponents of mean, lean freak-out rock performing covers of two Madonna songs - Burning Up and Ray Of Light.
Radiohead will play a free gig for BBC Radio 2 on April 1. To get your hand on tickets call 08700 100 200 - winners will be chosen at random. The show will take place within the confines of BBC's Radio Theatre at Broadcasting House in London.
And finally...here's an excitable Iggy Pop tearing things up before a Madonna show in 2005.
