In May, Jack Bruce celebrates his 65th Birthday. With this in mind, Esoteric Recordings are releasing a 6-CD boxed set anthology entitled Can You Follow? on June 2. The collection gathers together material from all aspects of his career, including recordings with the Graham Bond Organisation, John Mayall’s Bluesbreakers, Manfred Mann and, of course, Cream. Songs from Bruce's solo career are also set to appear.

The investigation into murder of Linda Stein, the manager of the Ramones who died at home in New York last October, has taken a further twist. Despite her assistant Natavia Lowery confessing to the murder, her lawyer, Ron Kuby, has asked for a further look into the case after a speck of male blood was found in Stein’s sink. Kuby claims that Lowery would have: "Confessed to anything just to get out on the interview room". However, the DA’s office have said that such a miniscule mark cannot suggest a link to the murder.

The ongoing argument over the rights to The Beach Boys name seems to have been resolved with Mike Love and Al Jardine reaching a ‘friendly settlement’ after a two-day conference in the Supreme Court in LA. Love had won the rights to the name in a federal ruling in 2000 and had sued Jardine for $2.2 million in 2004.

Fresh from their SXSW success, MOJO faves, Fleet Foxes, have announced the release of their eponymously titled debut album. The record has been produced by Phil Ek (Modest Mouse, The Shins). You can hear some of their wonderful music by clicking HERE. Fleet Foxes is set to arrive on June 3.
