Pete Doherty Jailed

Pete Doherty has been jailed for 14 weeks for violating his probation and "using different drugs".

Judge Davinder Lachar sentenced the ex-Libertines man at West London Magistrates Court earlier this afternoon.

In October 2007, Doherty was handed a suspended sentence for possession of drugs and driving illegally. The terms of the punishment required him to attend a rehabilitation programme and comply to progress report regulations. According to the BBC the singer missed an appointment with his probation team and turned up late for another.

Doherty's concert at the Royal Albert Hall gig later this month has been postponed. A statement from his record label read: "Peter was very much looking forward to the show and would like to offer his sincerest apologies to all his fans and to all those concerned." while Babyshambles drummer Adam Ficek told BBC 6music: "I feel gutted for him. Obviously he's going to find it really difficult in there but all I can say is that the band is going to stick with him as always."

He's got talent but is just throwing it away and that includes his life to....
