Coldplay's new single will be able to download for free from 12:15pm GMT today. The offer will expire in a week's time. Violet Hill is taken from the band's new album Viva La Vida or Death And All His Friends. The Brian Eno-produced effort is set for release on June 12. Coldplay are set to play two competition winner-only shows at London's Brixton Academy on June 16 and Madison Square Garden in New York. on June 23.

Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy has revealed details of his new album, Lie Down In The Light, set for release on May 19. This will be Will Oldham's first studio collection since 2006's Letting Go. Oldham's usual cohorts Emmett Kelly and Paul Oldham have contributed to the record, while Lambchop knob-twiddler Mark Nevers has ensconced behind the mixing desk.

Beck will play two UK shows at the beginning of July. He'll appear at Southampton's Guildhall on July 1 and Manchester Apollo on July 2. The gigs will act as a warm up for his performance at the 02 Wireless Festival on July 4. Stay tuned to MOJO for ticket details.
