The Specials Return!

The Specials are on the road to reforming after a hiatus of some 27 years.

Vocalist Neville Staple has revealed that the band has been rehearsing and there was a possibility of a tour on the horizon. He said: “A couple of months ago we started talking. We had to talk first to see if we could get on, but we got past the talking stage. Then we said, ‘okay, let’s see what we’re like in a room together rehearsing with instruments.’

Speaking to Music Week, Staple said: “We’re just seeing how it goes. If it gels, it gels. If it doesn’t, you don’t wanna go out there as some old geriatrics – not me. What we’ve got to do is make sure the music at least is right. So if it works, we’ll do it. If not, well, I’m sorry lads and girls but we’re trying.”

This should be interesting....

Will they be playing to ghost crowds... or real crowds of fans.... in ghost towns or real towns.

Or is it another group of middle aged blokes needing a extra pay cheque?....

who cares - i do anything to see them play again, yes of course they'll be old but hey it's the songs that matter and they're blooming ace!

I'd only go to see them if Jerry and Terry are on board, especially Jerry. Otherwise it'll be a waste of money and time...
