Mogwai have announced a special show at the Queen Elizabeth Hall in London on May 12. The band are set to debut tracks from their new album, The Hawk Is Howling. Aidan John Moffat and Remember Remember will support.
Ry Cooder is to release an album of new material entitled I, Flathead on June 23. The record is third in his California trilogy, following 2005’s Chavez Ravine and 2007’s My Name is Buddy, and will appear in conjunction with Cooder’s new 95-page novella. The story centres around fictional characters Kash Buk (a salt flat racer) and Shakey the alien who inhabit a skewed version of the golden state where “strange people are the norm”.
To coincide with Sparks upcoming 21 concert series, the Bodhi Gallery in London will be hosting an exhibition highlighting the visual legacy of the Mael brothers. The event will comprise record artwork, rare memorabilia, unseen photographs and videos. Sparks Show: A visual retrospective of Sparks runs from May 19 to 27.
Bruce Springsteen is to reissue 17 of his studio albums next month. The deluxe edition releases are set to hit shelves on May 19 and will coincide with The Boss' UK stadium shows.

Where/when are the Springsteen reissues going to be orderable from? Have looked at amazon, play.com, hmv, no mention anywhere.

Don't worry- those reissues are the same ones that came out in Japan in 2005 with the LP-sleeve jackets- nothing new.

These reissues are the same ones as the Japanese LP-sleeved remasters that came out in 2005. Nothing new under the sun.
