Amy Winehouse to play Hyde Park

Amy Winehouse will appear at Nelson Mandela’s 90th birthday celebrations in Hyde Park on June 27.

She joins a bill that already includes the likes of Queen + Paul Rodgers, Annie Lennox, Simple Minds, Leona Lewis, Sugababes, Dame Shirley Bassey, Razorlight, Johnny Clegg, Papa Wemba and the Soweto Gospel Choir.

Tim Massey, International Director of the 46664 AIDS charity says: “We are delighted that Amy will be appearing at Hyde Park to celebrate Nelson Mandela's 90th birthday. Amy joins an illustrious list of names showing their support for 46664 and the fight against AIDS.”

  • The sad thing was that we all saw it cmoing, didn’t we? It hit me harder than I thought it would as well. It was too soon. I wasn’t done hearing her evolution.
