Having stormed the MOJO Honours List launch in April, James Hunter and his vintage amalgam of r&b and soul, is now set to take his brass-boosted, boogie-filled live show to the MOJO Club on July 21.
He can count Aretha Franklin, Van Morrison and Allen Toussaint among his most fervent fans and his new album, The Hard Way, is already being heralded as one of his finest.
Also appearing at July's MOJO shindig will be Liverpool's crooning, doo-wopping king of jazzy grooves Edgar Jones. Having already produced two homegrown classics in the form of Soothing Music For Stray Cats and Gettin' A Little Help, his third solo offering, The Masked Marauder, was released earlier this year and was dubbed by MOJO as a "brilliantly unforced record".
Expect a jam-packed evening of cool, swinging joy!
