It all began five years ago at Whitehall's Banqueting Hall...
James Brown, Arthur Lee, Mick Jones, Noel Gallagher, Lemmy, Morrissey, Sting, Roger Daltrey and Marianne Faithfull were just some of guests present to witness the birth of what has now become the biggest and best celebration of quality music this side of Jupiter.
Since then the likes of Alice Cooper, Amy Winehouse, The Doors, Ozzy Osbourne, Damon Albarn, Ike Turner, Mark E. Smith, Elton John, Prince Buster, Jeff Beck, Scott Walker, Dave Gilmour, Bjork, Paul Weller and Nick Cave have all strutted their stuff at the only awards show that is all about the music and nothing but the music.
Later today, the MOJO Honours List turns five, as we once again welcome a panoply of world class new talent, current superstars and bona-fide legends.
Happily, you'll be able to follow all the action right here at mojo4music.com. This is your first stop for all the latest from this year's event.
The winners and losers; the heroes and villains; the excitable and inebriated - they'll all be lining up for what promises to best Awards evening yet.
So join us right here throughout the weekfor pictures, red carpet video interviews, backstage gossip, exclusive news, who won, who lost and who ended up decidedly over-refreshed.
