Track: Don't Pass Me By
Artist: Field Music
MOJO says: Mackem musicologists Field Music cheekily take Ringo Starr’s first Beatles composition and weld it to 1969 classic Don’t Let Me Down along with a final Ob-La-Da flurry. The result is a real-time mash-up that’s both melodically lush and typically knowing.

This is post my first round of reviews, but I just had to get back on this track.
If any of you saw my comments on While My Guitar Gently Weeps, you'll see this is the track I want Virgin Passages to listen to if they ever wanted to re-record that song. You get something done incredibly different in a very cool way, and I'm still listening to it as a standalone track weeks after my first listen. While it's constantly shifting (the coolest thing about this cover), it's got a definate musical flow rather than floating in space.
Definitely a case of enhancement through change. Not to say you couldn't enhance by doing a fairly straight cover. Some of my favorite tracks on this disc do that.
