The Coral have announced they will be playing an acoustic show at London’s Coliseum Theatre. With a singles album due out next year, expect stripped-down versions of all their psych-pop hits. This one-off gig will take place on July 29 at the home of the English National Opera. Tickets will be available from 9:30am on July 4.

A lost 1964 interview with The Beatles has been found in an unmarked can in a garage in South London. Found by film expert Richard Jeffs, it is now stored safely in an archive. The footage shows a young Lennon and McCartney talking about their songwriting partnership and remembering their first encounter at the age of 13. Beatles expert Mark Lewisohn told the BBC: “It’s a special piece that is so laid back it almost falls over.” To listen yourself, tune into BBC Radio 4 on Saturday 5 July at 15:30.

Tricky will be playing a one -ff show at London's Barbican Theatre on October 6. Tickets cost between £15 and £25. The trip-hop king's new album, Knowle West Boy, is released on Monday. For more, click HERE.

And finally...it’s time to check out that Jay-Z intro reel this year's Glastonbury bonanza. The video montage, which was played before the rapper's controversial headlining slot, is now available to view online. The tape wasn’t shown during the Beeb's Glastonbury television coverage.

The controversy has done wonders for sales of both Jay-Z and Oasis' back catalogue. Four years after the single’s original release, Jay-Z’s 99 Problems is looking set to enter the Top 25 on downloads alone. His Glastonbury closing track, Encore, has already entered the top 40. Oasis didn’t do badly either, with What’s The Story (Morning Glory) seeing a 200% sales increase.
