LED ZEPPELIN HAVE BEEN working on new material according to Jason Bonham.

Bonzo The Younger spoke to Detroit's WCSX Radio Station at the end of last week, revealing that "something" may be in the pipeline: "The possibility of doing something was on the cards the moment we walked off stage at the O2" said Bonham. But there's obviously a lot of politics to get ironed out".

"I've been over [to England] a couple of times. I've been working with Jimmy and John Paul, trying to do some new material and some writing. I've jammed with them and it's still magical. I don't know what it will be...but it'll be something."

Robert Plant's name was not mentioned once during the entire interview. The singer is currently on tour with his Raising Sand partner in crime, Alison Krauss.

In the meantime, did anyone see the Jimmy Page/Leona Lewis shambles at the Closing Ceremony of the Olympic Games on Sunday? Words fail...

Noel Gallagher, currently doing the press rounds in preparation for the release of Oasis' new album Dig Out Your Soul on October 6, has been talking to Radio 1 about the current state of illegal downloading.

“I had a guy from a national newspaper track me down and say ‘Have you got any comment to make? All of your new album has come up on the Internet!’ and I was going, ‘It’s impossible, it’s ludicrous’, because only four or five people had copies. So I said ‘Read out the song titles that are up on the internet’ and he read out the track-listing from the last album! So I was like, ‘That’s on the Internet is it? It’s also in HMV - in the ‘O’ section".

The Oasis chief went on: “If it’s out there and you can get it, you know, go ahead", he told Zane Lowe. "I’m certainly not going to get into Lars Ulrich mode about this.”

“If people are willing to have faceless CDs in their collection, good for them. It would be absolutely ludicrous for a rock star to demand that people pay money for albums because the kids haven’t got that much money - so if they can find it for free, go ahead! But don’t do it on Oasis records though - because that’s against the law. Pinch as many Kaiser Chiefs as you like - and the Pigeon Detectives - but don’t nick any Oasis - I'm down to my last £4 million and I need to keep the Evian water topped up in my swimming pool.”
