Josh Homme, Queens Of The Stone Age towering frontman, is to produce a selection of new material by Arctic Monkeys.
Speaking to BBC 6 Music, Homme revealed: "We're going do some tracks and I'm really looking forward to it because I like them a lot. They're a talented bunch of guys, it's going to be a lot of fun".
"Being Arctic Monkeys, the polar opposite would be Desert Monkeys so they're going to come out and just experience that and their idea is to submerge themselves in something else and do some tracks," he added.
The band, who shared a stage with QOTSA in the US last year, are set to work with Homme in his Rancho De La Luna studios situated in that fabled outpost of rock history, Joshua Tree.
