Ringo Starr has told fans that he will no longer sign autographs. "Please do not send fan mail to any address you have," he said in a video message posted on his official site.
"Nothing will be signed after the 20th of October. If that is the date on the envelope, it's gonna be tossed." You can watch the clip HERE.

It seems to me that Stu Sutcliffe wouldn't have said such tripe and would actually go out of his way to answer any and all fan mail and sign as many autographs as was requested, no questions asked.
What's Starr's problem anyway? Is he worried that people will sell them on eBay or something? So what? As the least popular Beatle, you would think that he would relish the ability to sign autographs.
Let's be serious here and speak the truth; everytime he's on the verge of becoming a footnote in the musical encyclopedia, he does another of his uber-lame "Ringo & His All-Starr Band" tours which allow him to stay in the spotlightjust a little while longer. And the fact of the matter is that back 20 years ago, the people who joined him on tour were actually musicians that fans would want to go see. Now, not so much and yet he still acts as if those fellow musicians are begging him for the opportunity.
Whatever.a
Tell you what Ringo. If you stop with the aforementioned and pointless tours, we'll stop bothering you for something so trivial as an autograph, you soppy little prat.

Wow! Did Ringo harm you or your family! Just don't buy his CDs or go to his shows. I love how your speaking for a dead person of 40+ years. He was artsy and most likely a prick like a lot of artsy people. Ringo was nice enough to sign anything for years. Name me one other musical figurehead that accepts pictures in the mail to autograph and then return. Your envelope must of been post-marked Oct. 21.
