NEWS DIGEST: Monday, October 27

It's been a great week for Oasis who have sold over 500,000 tickets for their summer 2009 stadium tour. Extra dates have been added in London and Manchester, and the band have also announced they will be playing Coventry’s Ricoh Stadium on July 7. Tickets for that show will go on sale at 9am on October 30. The Gallagher's et al played a triumphant set at London's The Roundhouse last night as part of the BBC's Electric Proms series. The band appeared with the 50-piece Crouch End Festival Chorus. The gig is streaming on iPlayer now. You can watch it HERE.

AC/DC have hit the top spot in the UK for the first time in 28 years with their new album Black Ice, beating off closest rivals Kaiser Chiefs two to one in sales.

Jerry Lee Lewis is planning a comeback next year with a new album. The veteran rock ‘n’ roll legend is hoping that his latest offering will have guest appearances from none other than Rolling Stones' Mick Jagger and Keith Richards. Lewis is said to be excited about “probably” working with the Stones again, on his new “far out stuff”.
