“There have only been two things I’ve been listening to this year, the first a record by a band called Blind Pilot, they’re a brand new group out of Portland Oregon, they played a show with us and they’re fantastic live and their album 3 Rounds And A Sound is fantastic too. I never know how to describe how bands sound but it’s important to me that they have lots of melody and interesting lyrics and instrumentation. Blind Pilot have this neo folk element to them. The other thing is The Submarines’ Honeysuckle Weeks. We’ve been playing shows with them too and I’ve really been enjoying them live, they’re from Boston, this husband and wife team, they’re really good.”
