Grace Jones has revealed that a documentary charting the last five years of her life may be in the pipeline.

Speaking to BBC 6Music, she said: “Sophie Fiennes has been following me around for the last four or five years and it’s going to be at least nine months of editing, that’s how much material we’ve got. It’s a lot of performance, it’s me in Jamaica, we had a family reunion and it’s the making of the record.”

Guns N’ Roses have launched a YouTube competition offering entrants the chance to win tickets to the Ultimate Rock Party - an event that will allow the lucky winners to hear Axl Rose's Chinese Democracy before anyone else.

To be in with a chance of entering the party, fans must upload a video of their “craziest, most inappropriate air guitar” to www.youtube.com/chinesedemocracyuk.

The competition closes on Monday, November 17.

Chinese Democracy is released on November 23.

Rolling Stone have published their review of the album online. You can read it HERE.

Now, we at MOJO don't usually consider ourselves match-makers, but we can't help but feel partly responsible for the news that X-Ray Spex's Poly Styrene is to team up with punk noiseniks Goldblade for a festive single release. Goldblade are of course led by John Robb - the very same John Robb that interviewed Poly Styrene for our X-Ray Spex feature earlier this year!

City Of Christmas Ghosts is out on Damaged Goods on December 8.

  • who the hell needs to win a comp to hear 'Chinese Democracy'?
You know what it's going to sound like; a lot of heavy guitars and drums, and Axel Rose screeching out of tune. Same as any other GnR album.

  • Re: Chris Dreja. That's a GUITAR he's playing in that clip, not a bass. Paul Samwell-Smith is the one playing the bass. Dreja took over on bass later in '66, after Samwell-Smith left, and Jimmy Page joined. Page briefly played bass, before good sense prevailed, and the two of them switched. Now then, don't tell me there's anyone working at Mojo who can't tell the difference between a guitar and a bass?
