Sir Paul McCartney has revealed that negotiations between The Beatles and Apple have "stalled". The company were in talks to release the Fabs back catalogue via iTunes.

Speaking to the BBC, McCartney said: "We'd like to do it. We are very for it, we've been pushing it. But there are a couple of sticking points, I understand." He then added that "heavy negotiations" were still taking place with the band's former label EMI. "EMI want something we're not prepared to give 'em. It's between EMI and The Beatles I think - what else is new? Last word I got back was it's stalled at the moment. But I really hope it will happen because I think it should."

An EMI spokesperson said: "We have been working hard to secure agreement with Apple Corps to make the Beatles' legendary recording catalogue available to fans in digital form. Unfortunately the various parties involved have been unable to reach agreement but we really hope everyone can make progress soon."

China has branded the new Guns N' Roses album, Chinese Democracy, as a "venomous attack" on the nation. The country has also blocked access to the band's official site citing the artwork and lyrical content of the title track (it refers to the banned Falun Gong group) as tantamount to turning "its spear point on China". The article was published in the Global Times.

Meanwhile, Government spokesman Qin Gang stated to the BBC: "According to my knowledge, a lot of people don't like this kind of music because it's too noisy and too loud".

And to find out just how loud and noisy Chinese Democracy really is, read MOJO's official review HERE.
