A star-studded collaboration album assembled by the likes of Bob Dylan and Paul McCartney will be released early next year.

Entitled Heroes, the charity compilation sees music legends choosing younger artists to cover their songs.

Brian Wilson, U2 and The Kinks are among the big names who have handpicked artists. The list of contributors is set to include Beck, The Hold Steady and Rufus Wainwright.

The album has been mastered at Abbey Road Studios and will be released on February 16.

All profits from the album go to the Warchild charity.
