Neil Young has debuted a strange new clip online.
Fork In The Road reportedly features a track from a forthcoming studio album, and sees Young eating a headphone-augmented apple while lip-syncing to the song. Lyrics include: “My sales have tanked / But I still got you / Download this / It sounds like shit.”
A spokesman told Rolling Stone: “It seems logical in light of the timeliness of the subject matter that it will preempt Archives and Toast for the time being. But that hasn’t been confirmed yet. With Neil Young, very few things ever are."
The wait continues...
You can watch the clip below.

Morrissey has revealed that his forthcoming album, Years Of Refusal, could be one of his last. In an interview with Filter magazine the former Smiths figurehead said: “I don’t want to go on much longer, really. I think that would suggest a lack of imagination. A certain lack of dignity also. There has to reach a point where you’ve said enough, I think.”

The Neil clip is really funny. A whole album of that would pall quickly, but Neil's often made room for humour on his albums, such as with Old King on Harvest Moon and Piece of Crap on Sleeps with Angels, Mansion on the Hill on Ragged Glory, even T-Bone on RE-AC-TOR. Great hat. Nice apple joke, too.
Fuck Oasis. The best thing about them these days is reading interviews with Noel, and they don't really need to exist as a band for him to keep doing that. You guys should employ him to write a weekly column. With any luck, the street musicians will teach them blokes some DECENT tunes.
Sparks would be interesting to see; their best albums are amazingly good.
Ah, Damon. Jack of all trades, master of none. (Not really - he's cool. Diversity is great, but ubiquity can breed contempt.
Morrissey won't stop. His vanity won't let him.
Going to see Lennie next month. Can't wait.
Dave is 40? Bugger me. Watched him play a gig (on youtube) the other week with Brian May and Roger Taylor, (who are FROM QUEEN; they are NOT QUEEN) and I must, say, Taylor Hawkins sang Tie Your Mother Down, which kicked the shit out of everything I've heard Dave sing. Still, I love Dave, but he'd be better off behind the drum kit. Last few albums have been pretty lame.
Jimmy Page looks TERRIBLE. Thank fuck Planty nixed the tour idea - I don't know that Jimmy would have survived. When he plays live these days, it may sound ok, but it looks as though his spine has fused. Poor old chap.
