Robert Plant & Alison Krauss Sweep Grammys!

Robert Plant and Alison Krauss have stormed the 51st Grammy Awards.

The duo won five gongs including Album Of The Year for Raising Sand and Record Of The Year for Please Read The Letter. They also took home the trophies for Best Pop Collaboration With Vocals (Rich Woman), Best Country Colloboration With Vocals (Killing the Blues) and Best Contemporary Folk/Americana Album (Raising Sand).

"This project has been spectacular from the beginning," said Plant. "We're very proud of the job T-Bone Burnett did for us to make it so good."

Other winners included Adele (Best New Artist, Best Female Pop Vocal Performance), Duffy (Best Pop Vocal Album) and Coldplay (Best Pop Performance by a Duo Or Group, Song Of The Year - Viva La Vida, Best Rock Album). "We're not the heaviest of rock bands, as you may have noticed - we're more of a limestone rock band," said the band's Chris Martin.

The British wave of success continued as Radiohead picked up the awards for Best Alternative Music Album (In Rainbows) and Best Boxed or Special Limited Edition, while R&B queen Estelle won the Best Rap Collaboration With Vocals category for her single American Boy - recorded with Kanye West.
