Bob Dylan will release his next studio album in April.
The as-yet-untitled record, produced by Dylan under his pseudonym Jack Frost, will feature ten new tracks and will be the first new brace of songs to emerge since 2006's Modern Times. It follows last year's rarities collection Tell Tale Signs and according to Rolling Stone "came as surprise" even to Dylan insiders.
It seems filmmaker Olivier Dahan (director of Edith Piaf biopic La Vie En Rose) approached Dylan about contributing material to his next movie. The resulting song, Life Is Hard, inspired Mr Zimmerman to keep writing.
His current tour reaches Europe at the end of the month.
