Rufus & Martha Wainwright and their mother Kate McGarrigle are set to bring their seasonal Christmas show to London's Royal Albert Hall on Wednesday, December 9.

A Not So Silent Night has been described by the trio as "an off-the-cuff evening of friends and family kind of popping on and off stage as if the stage was our living room". A series of special guest appearances will be announced later this summer.

Tickets for the event go on sale via www.artistticket.com on Friday (May 1).

Pearl Jam have announced details of their latest European tour.

The Seattle legends will play shows in Rotterdam and Berlin, before hitting Manchester M.E.N Arena on August 15 and London's O2 Arena three days later.

The full itinerary currently looks like this:

Rotterdam, Ahoy (August 13)
Berlin, Kindl-Bühne Wuhlheide (15)
Manchester, M.E.N. Arena (17)
London, O2 Arena (18)

Tickets for all shows go on sale on May 8.

Green Day will tour the UK in October.

The band's eighth studio album, 21st Century Breakdown (reviewed in the current issue of MOJO) will be released on May 15.

They play:

Glasgow, SECC (October 19)
London, O2 (23)

Birmingham, LG Arena (27)
Birmingham, LG Arena (28)
