THE RUN-UP TO this year's MOJO Honours List Ceremony is the most frenzied on record, as a cavalcade of genuinely legendary names queue up to play shows and join in the celebrations.
Refreshed by the gobsmacked response to their corrosive new album, Journal For Plague Lovers, glam-pop politicos The Manic Street Preachers bring their Gramsci and guyliner to London's HMV Forum on June 8. Watch out for further announcements, regarding their very special guests, at MOJO4music.com
And continuing our season of live rock thrills for the considered consumer of kickass classicism, J, Murph and Lou - aka Dinosaur Jr - bring their grunge-inventing maelstrom of American underground rock to the Forum on June 9. Their latest album, Farm, rocks, so this should too. Hope they do They Always Come...
Then gape in awe as the Golden Age of Mancunian post-punk pop is stuffed into a time machine then exported wholesale dahn sarf, with a phenomenal bill of The Fall, Buzzcocks and John Cooper Clarke at HMV Forum on June 10.

The line-up is a slight return to the legendary first night at Soho punk club, The Vortex (give or take a closing set from Johnny Thunders & The Heartbreakers), which opened on July 4, 1977.
Intimate and exclusive, that legend of UK folk Bert Jansch plays the Jazz Café on June 8, bringing exotic tunings and bruised blues vocals from the black water side. Johnny Marr, Bernard Butler, Jimmy Page, Roy Harper and Beth Orton count themselves among Jansch's legion of fans. Not a bad club to join.
Tickets for all shows go on sale tomorrow morning (Tuesday, May 12) at 9am. Check back here for more details.
The shows line-up like this:
HMV Forum, Kentish Town, London
June 8 - Manic Street Preachers (plus special guests)
June 9 - Dinosaur Jr (plus special guests)
June 10 - The Fall, Buzzcocks and John Cooper Clarke
Jazz Cafe, Camden, London
June 8 - Bert Jansch
Read Buzzcock Steve Diggle's memories of The Vortex, an invaluable Bert Jansch How To Buy and a review of the new Dinosaur Jr album in the next MOJO magazine, on sale May 27.
