ON JUNE 11, a small army of hot new talent, current stars and bona fide music legends will grace the stage at the annual MOJO Honours List awards ceremony.
Now in its sixth year, the Honours List has seen the likes of James Brown, Arthur Lee, The Who, Noel Gallagher, Led Zeppelin, Lemmy, Morrissey, Marianne Faithfull, Judy Collins, The Clash and The Stooges (to name but a few) join forces to celebrate great music in all its grand forms.
And this year's event is shaping up to be the best yet. Following on from today's announcement at the Honours List Launch event at HMV Oxford Street, MOJO can now exclusively reveal the nominees in this year's five reader-voted-for categories: Album Of The Year, Best Live Act, Breakthrough Act, Compilation Of The Year and Song Of The Year .
Leading the pack with three nominations are Seattle's celestial folkniks Fleet Foxes, with Kings Of Leon, Elbow and Paul Weller picking up two nods a-piece.
