NEWS DIGEST TUESDAY MAY 19
Radiohead have begun work on the follow up to In Rainbows with long-term producer Nigel Godrich.
"We just went in last week," bassist Colin Greenwood said during a conference at last week's Great Escape festival. "It was really good. It was really noisy and chaotic and really fun.
"We're at the stage where we've got the big Lego box out and we've tipped it out on the floor and we're looking at all the bits and thinking, what next? We've got lots of ideas but we don't decide what we're going to do until we've finished the thing. It's all up in the air, but it was up in the air last time."
Greenwood was speaking at the launch of a new musical journal called Loops, a collaborative venture between publishers Faber and Domino Records which will feature contributions from Greenwood, MOJO's Jon Savage, Nick Cave, Simon Armitage and Paul Morley.

Danger Mouse and Sparklehorse are encouraging fans to download their new album from an illegal filesharing site after a legal dispute with EMI has prevented them from releasing it.
The duo's second collaboration, Dark Night Of The Soul, was leaked onto the internet on May 7 and features appearances from Iggy Pop, Frank Black, Julian Casablancas, Gruff Rhys and Grandaddy's Jason Lytle.
It remains unclear why the album will not now get an official release, but a limited edition 100+ page booklet of photographs by film maker David Lynch will be issued with a blank, recordable CD-R labelled "For Legal Reasons, enclosed CD-R contains no music. Use it as you will".
A spokesperson for the producer said: "Danger Mouse remains hugely proud of Dark Night Of The Soul and hopes that people lucky enough to hear the music, by whatever means, are as excited by it as he is."
