Yoko Ono has made an art exhibit featuring the bloody clothes John Lennon was murdered in.

Due to feature in John Lennon The New York Years, which will run in the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame Annex for the rest of the year, the display features a paper bag filled with Lennon's clothes that was returned to Ono by police in December 1980.

"John came back to me in a brown paper bag," said Ono, "I want the world to know that."

Ono says the clothes were "hard to include" in the exhibition and she was worried she "might be criticised" for doing so.

The exhibition will also feature Lennon's iconic New York t-shirt, wire rimmed glasses, handwritten lyrics, the Steinway piano he used to compose Double Fantasy and letters concerning the couple's fight against deportation.

"I know it's kind of a sad and very poignant kind of paradox,' says Ono of Lennon's time in New York. "He loved this place so much and this was where he was killed".

Dave Gahan has been rushed to hospital, forcing Depeche Mode to cancel last night's show in Athens, Greece.

Gahan is believed to have fallen ill with gastroenteritis. A spokesman told the crowd at Terra Vibe Park: "Dave is not well, we have had a doctor in to see him backstage and unfortunately the advice from the doctor is that Dave cannot perform."

The illness looks likely to be short-lived and it was suggested the show will be rescheduled for a later date.
