Dave Grohl, Josh Homme and John Paul Jones' long-gestating power trio Them Crooked Vultures will play their first show at Chicago's Metro on Saturday (August 9).
Speaking to MOJO in the summer of 2005, Grohl revealed that, "the next project that I'm trying to initiate involves me on drums, Josh Homme on guitar, and John Paul Jones playing bass. That's the next album. That wouldn't suck." Four years down the line and it seems the trio are ready to premier their new material.
The band's official website has also appeared HERE.
Tickets for the Chicago show will be available from tomorrow (Thursday, August 6) via THIS outlet.

Radiohead have recorded a new song inspired by the late Harry Patch.
The British World War I veteran died on July 25 at the age of 111. In a message posted on the band's official site, Thom Yorke wrote:
"Recently the last remaining UK veteran of the 1st world war Harry Patch died at the age of 111. I had heard a very emotional interview with him a few years ago on the Today program on Radio4. The way he talked about war had a profound effect on me. It became the inspiration for a song that we happened to record a few weeks before his death. It was done live in an abbey. The strings were arranged by Jonny. I very much hope the song does justice to his memory as the last survivor.
It would be very easy for our generation to forget the true horror of war, without the likes of Harry to remind us.
I hope we do not forget."
The song entitled Harry Patch (In Memory Of) can be downloaded from the Radiohead website HERE. All profits will go to the Royal British Legion.
