Andrew Loog Oldham's Memoirs Hit The Small Screen!

HBO is currently developing a comedy series based on the Rolling Stones' early years, reports Variety.

The show is to be based on the memoirs of the band's former manager and legendary '60s impresario Andrew Loog Oldham.

Stoned and 2Stoned are being adapted by rock journalist/scriptwriter Wesley Strick whose writing credits include Arachnophobia and Martin Scorsese's 1991 remake of Cape Fear.

Previously unheard conversations between the four members of the Beatles are to be aired by the BBC as part of a week long tribute to the band.

The Beatles on Record, to be shown on BBC2 and BBC4 on September 5, will use the voices of John, Paul, George and Ringo alongside producer George Martin to narrate the history of the Fabs in the studio.

The documentary will use interviews and rare footage to chart the band's development from the recording of 1963's Please Please Me through to their final Abbey Road sessions - the latter set to feature as-yet-unheard studio chat.

BBC controller for Knowledge Commissioning George Entwistle said: "This is a great chance for viewers to enjoy some rare footage and fascinating insights into the career of the greatest pop group of all time.""

Radiohead's new single, These Are My Twisted Words, is now available to download for free via their official site. The release follows last week's unofficial internet leak.

"We've been recording for a while, and this was one of the first we finished. We're pretty proud of it," writes guitarist Jonny Greenwood. "There's other stuff in various states of completion, but this is one we've been practicing, and which we'll probably play at this summer's concerts. Hope you like it."

Fans downloading the single will receive a high-quality MP3 which includes liner notes and exclusive artwork.
