16. Various
Three Score & Ten - A Voice To The People
(Apple)
MOJO said: "It's a 108-page book. It's a 7-CD box set. It's 70 years of classic folk music. It's the story of the world's oldest indie label...A package of real beauty that leaves you in no doubt of its artistic importance...but is a lot of fun too." Colin Irwin

17. The Louvin Brothers
Tragic Songs of Life
(Righteous/Cherry Red)
MOJO said: "The first Capitol LP from Alabama brothers Charlie and Ira is not for the faint-hearted. Ira was both a brilliant tenor harmony singer and gifted mandolinist...Charlie Louvin was one of country music's best lead vocalists...[this is] arguably their greatest artistic achievement." Sid Griffin

18. Woody Guthrie
My Dusty Road
(Rounder)
MOJO said : "This collection is remarkable... the sound quality is as clear and natural as if he were singing in the next room. And there's an earthiness and an exuberance in the music. [These songs] are lean, unflinching and entirely sure of themselves." Sylvie Simmons

19. KC & The Sunshine Band
The TK Years
(EMI)
MOJO said : "Crisp, punchy remasters of five albums cut in their '70s heyday. Gusty floor-fillers...party classics...one of the finest pop acts of all time." Jim Irvin

20. Neil Young
Archives Volume 1, 1963-1972
(Reprise)
MOJO said: "The first 10-disc, 120-song volume of Young's elusive Archives...However much he might change his musicians or guitars to try and keep us guessing...there's a constancy on display here that's quite remarkable." Sylvie Simmons

Surely you could have squeezed the remastered Only Ones trilogy of albums in here somewhere as they were awarded an icon award only a year or so ago by Mojo, and have continued to get better every show since then. This bodes well for the partially completed, all important fourth album, due in stores somewhere b/w 2010 and 2525!!!

Great to see Red by King Crimson, but has anyone heard the 1st album 2009 mix? It's incredible and the bonus tracks are no mere throw-ons. They present an alternative album that's just as exciting as the original. Too bad we didn't see a 40th reunion show/tour w/ Fripp, Lake, McDonald and Giles.....

The Rolling Stones re-issues deserve a place here. For the first time they have been remastered with the care they deserve. Sticky Fingers is a revelation every bit as much an improvement as the Beatles re-issue. (Although I accept that there have been numerous re-issues that cloud things slightly)
