Midlake, MOJO's favourite progressive Texan troubadours, will play an exclusive MOJO Club show at London's intimate Wilton's Music Hall on January 31.
Their new album, The Courage Of Others received four stars in the current issue of MOJO magazine and is set for release on February 1. The record sees the band drawing on the likes of Fairport Convention and Steeleye Span to evoke, what MOJO's Sylvie Simmons calls "the English countryside in the last days of winter in some olde worlde time". The 19th Century surroundings of Wilton's enchanting auditorium are set to provide the perfect setting for their new songs.
The record has been three years in the making and is set to capitalise on the success of 2006's The Trials Of Van Occupanther. "I hope people love this record and are moved by it," guitarist Eric Pulido told MOJO last year. "It's been a long time coming."
Tickets for this tiny show are on sale now!
