Jeff Beck will release his new album, Emotion & Commotion, in April via Rhino.
Produced by Steve Lipson and Trevor Horn, and featuring contributions from the likes of Joss Stone, Imelda May and a huge 64-piece orchestra, the record was initially conceived as a full-on classical album. The LP is his first studio release for seven years.
"I wanted to do something that showed different aspects of what I could do and that people wouldn't expect, " Beck reveals in the new issue of MOJO magazine. "I mean, did anyone expect Nessun Dorma? I doubt it."
Beck heads out on his solo UK jaunt in October. He is set to play:
Bournemouth BIC (October 15)
Brighton Centre (16)
Birmingham Symphony Hall (17)
Glasgow Clyde Auditorium (20)
Manchester Apollo (21)
Sheffield City Hall (22)
Bristol Colston Hall (24)
Cardiff St David's Hall (25)
London Royal Albert Hall (26)

Jeff Beck is the inimitable and nonpareil guitar virtuso who continues to expand the boudaries of the fretboard. He seamlessly masters hard rock, jazz, blues, psychedelic and electronica genres. He's a brilliant live performer too. Off the stage Jeff Beck likes to build hot rods, take care of animals, landscape and enjoy his well-deserved vegetarian meals.
