Win A Supersized Classic Single For Your Wall!

9:26 AM GMT 08/02/2010

RARELY HAS THE MOJO office been so galvanised than when Morgan Howell popped in to show us his supersized singles. Measuring 680mm, these... um, 27"ers are paintings, rendered on canvas, translating every idiosyncrasy of the best-loved singles in Morgan's collection, from the photo-realistic recreation of the label (swoon at the loving recreations of the classic Decca and Brunswick logos!) to the corner crumples of the paper sleeve.

It's enough to provoke a Proustian rush even if you don't (unlike two of our number) own the original Vertigo 45 of Black Sabbath's Paranoid. The 3D quality is uncanny (there's a disc - unplayable, natch - slid inside each), just like an original single has been blown up with some science-fiction enlargement machine and plonked on your wall.

Howell's originals (ie. those painstakingly painted) retail from £1200; you can talk to him about a commission at morgan@supersizeart.com. Individually numbered prints - which MOJO can confirm are just as striking - cost £375 A throw.

Prints currently available, all in original UK release formats...

"The House Of The Rising Sun" by The Animals
"Heatwave" by Martha Reeves & The Vandellas
"It's All Over Now" by The Rolling Stones

"Let's Get It On" by Marvin Gaye
"Paranoid" by Black Sabbath
