There was astonishment in the Oxfordshire village of Kiddington on Saturday night as Roger Waters and David Gilmour climbed on stage together for the first time since Live 8 in July 2005 to deliver a four-song set.
The two ex-Floydsters, notoriously unable or unwilling to negotiate a Pink Floyd reunion tour - now even less likely since the 2008 death of keyboardist Richard Wright - were brought together for the HOPING Foundation Benefit Evening, held at Kiddington Hall on July 10.
HOPING - standing for Hope and Optimism for Palestinians In the Next Generation, and part-sponsored by outspoken critic of Israel's policies in the occupied territories Bella Freud - profited to the tune of £350,000. Since there were only 200 attendees, that breaks down as £1,750 per punter. Was this the most exclusive/expensive Pink Floyd ticket yet?
Waters and Gilmour, backed by Harry Waters (keyboards), Andy Newmark (drums), Chester Kamen (guitar) Guy Pratt (bass and acoustic guitar), and Jonjo Grisdale (keyboards), played Floyd soundcheck favourite To Know Him Is To Love Him, plus Wish You Were Here, Comfortably Numb and Another Brick In The Wall (Part 2).

Gilmour got (an unwilling) Waters to sing "To Know Him Is To Love Him" by offering him to come and perform "Comfortably Numb" with him at one of the forthcoming 'The Wall' gigs.
I wonder where it's gonna be ??? Sweden... maybe ??? :)
