Dylan LeBlanc
Paupers Field

Twenty year-old Louisiana singer-songwriter makes his mark.

Dylan LeBlanc

Play Dylan Le Blanc's debut album three times and you find yourself enveloped by the sheer warmth that emanates from it. In truth, the album's familiarity is down to the fact that the 12 tracks on offer resurrect the sound of the South from Muscle Shoals' glory '70s. Opener Low is enough to convince the listener that LeBlanc is a rare find while the likes of If The Creek Don't Rise, The Changing Of The Seasons and Coyote Creek evoke an irresistible air of American romanticism. If there is one criticism to be made, it is simply the fact that you do yearn for the odd moment where LeBlanc would cut loose and scream his heart out. Doubtless, life will teach him to so in due course. Right now, Dylan LeBlanc is good. His voice, however, will only get better. Greatness beckons.
