Releasing their debut, self-titled LP in June 1972 - about a week after Bowie's ...Ziggy Stardust... came out - Roxy Music would open the brains of Morrissey, Madness, Depeche Mode and more with their pop-experimental sophistication and stylish visuals.
They'd carry on as a recording entity for another eleven years, making another seven albums; but which of them do you need? For Your Pleasure and Stranded? Country Life? Who's liking later works Avalon and Flesh + Blood? Then there's the solo joints; which of Bryan Ferry's LPs are required listening? What about Eno's Here Come The Warm Jets? And is anyone feeling Andy MacKay's In Search Of Eddie Riff?
Post your comments and recommendations below, please, and the best will appear in the magazine. Thanks!
