One of Sun records' founding rockabilly berserkers, Jerry Lee Lewis has been releasing records since 1958. Fathom the concept. That's a cool five decades plus to select from, and here's the tricky part - not for the ever-ornery Jerry Lee a brief creative explosion followed by diminishing returns. Instead he's released great music in every decade, from his earliest rock and roll wildness onto his later country output and more recent re-assertions of his unique creative ramalama. But which waxings do you need to own? How about his 1958 debut High School Confidential? What country LPs, or 80s material (that's some sleeve on My Fingers Do The Talkin')? Recent duets albums? And what about the fabulous, most beautiful, I mean really swingin', Live at the Star-Club, Hamburg, from '63?
Tell us please, and the best comments will appear in the magazine. Thank you kindly...
