The Beatles' 1967 psychedelic adventure, Magical Mystery Tour, is to be released on DVD and Blu-ray on October 8. Check out the trailer below.
Alongside the DVD and Blu-ray packages, the film will appeat in 10" x 10" deluxe edition format - the latter includes a 60-page book and a reproduction of a mono double 7" vinyl EP containing the film's six original Beatles songs.
The restoration of Magical Mystery Tour has been led by the same team that restored Yellow Submarine earlier this year, while the soundtrack has been remixed at Abbey Road by Giles Martin and Sam Okell.
Key for Beatleheads will be the news that the package includes a director's commentary from Paul McCartney and new interviews with Ringo Starr and other members of the cast and crew.
The 53-minute Magical Mystery Tour was originally broadcast on Boxing Day 1967 at 8:35pm to a generally baffled UK audience, quite possibly outraged by the sheer amount of spaghetti and walruses on display.
