Black Sabbath Report From The Studio

4:35 PM GMT 14/02/2013

Plutonium-heavy riffs and intra-band ribbing are guaranteed as Black Sabbath near completion on their forthcoming LP, 13, due in June. Brand new footage (above) of the group in the studio sees the venerable doom-mongers in fine fettle, so long as Tony Iommi's cancer treatment continues to yield positive results and presuming that Ozzy Osbourne can survive the the occasional startling noise.

It's the first time the notoriously volatile core trio of Osbourne, Iommi and Geezer Butler have been together in the studio since 1978's Never Say Die!

Despite original drummer Bill Ward opting not to take part in the reunion, the heavy metal pioneers have enlisted the services of Rage Against The Machine sticksman Brad Wilk for the sessions, whilst legendary producer Rick Rubin has been installed behind the mixing desk. A "raw" Black Sabbath record is promised.

Hilariously, the footage comes with sub-titles, presumably for the edification of non-Brummies.
