AND THE WINNER IS...

ELINOR ALICIA

On July 12, 20 year-old Elinor Alicia from Liverpool was announced as the winner of this year's Glenfiddich MOJO New voice competition as our search for the best unsigned singer/songwriter in the UK and Ireland came to an end following live performances from all five finalists.

Earlier in the day, the New Voice final five had been privy to a mentoring session from Richard Hawley, who spoke on everything from the pitfalls of the industry to the dangers of listening to Fleetwood Mac's Tango In The Night for nine weeks straight.

Nathan Ball, Berri Farley, RW Hedges and Hannah Scott joined Elinor at the invite-only event in London as a panel of industry experts - chaired by MOJO Editor-in-Chief Phil Alexander - were set the task of deciding who would be victorious. After incredible performances from all five acts, it was decided that the exquisite beauty of Elinor's songs made her the deserved winner. Congratulations!
